What Do You Need To Leave Behind?

December 31, 2013 / Business Resources, Inner Game / no comments

It’s new years, which is always a time of great reflection for me.  I spend a lot of time looking back, and a lot of time looking into the future, visioning, planning and intention setting for the blank canvas slate of the year before me. This is a powerful time of year for actually making new habits stick and really stepping into the best version of yourself possible. What I invite you to do with me, as an added bonus or twist, is think about what’s the ONE thing that you are ready to leave behind. That thing you don’t need to do/see/think about ANY MORE.  Maybe it’s a habit that you let go of that stays in the past.  Maybe it’s words you say to yourself, or a way of thinking about things that doesn’t serve you any more. … Continue reading

What door do you want to walk through?

December 17, 2013 / Business Resources / no comments

It’s the end of the year.  There’s a TON of resources, how to’s, guides, amazing, world changing workshops to help you PLAN your 2014. It’s time to plan plan plan.  Strategize, goal set, revolutionize, intention set, visualize and later, actualize. I’ve got some thoughts on this. You can over plan. Yes, you can.  You can plan and visualize and intention set yourself right into overwhelm.  Or, (and?) you can actually spend SO MUCH time planning, you don’t DO anything, and then time passes and you don’t have much to show for it.   And that sucks. If you’re going to take the time to plan, you should make the time to FOLLOW THROUGH.  That’s the secret sauce, not the planning, but the plan oriented action around it that makes your dreams take flight and become reality. Planning is important And you … Continue reading

What’s Your Year End Ritual?

December 2, 2013 / Business Resources / no comments

With the end of the year fast approaching – faster than ever since (American) Thanksgiving was so late –  it feels like we’ve got less time than ever with Christmas and the end of the year rapidly approaching. It’s critical during the crunch of social parties, work events, family stuff, holiday celebrating and food gorging, to take time to breathe, connect with your life and year, and spend some time diving into the year behind you so you can start 2014 strong + powerful, poised to realize your big dreams. Without ritual, these moments can slip by us, or never materialize.  It’s easy to get lost in the bustle and think “I’ll deal with it later” – but as we all know, there is no later, especially not at this time of year.    Ritual helps us ground, and do … Continue reading

5 Must Haves On Your Business Gratitude List

November 27, 2013 / Business Resources, Inner Game / no comments

Do you make gratitude lists?  I do and they’ve been transformative.  They’ve helped me gain a deeper understanding of my life, pull myself out of funks, and appreciate the world around me in a deeper way.    Around this time of year (American Thanksgiving) I love to dive even deeper into my gratitude list, and generally ask my clients to do the same 🙂  It’s hugely important to give thanks and be appreciative.  It’s also a really healthy way to find the silver lining, and let past grievances go.   I find that without this reflection and grounding, I am much less stable and sure moving into the future. So this Thanksgiving, here are 5 must-haves to start your list, aim for at least 10, if not 20 things to be grateful for this season.  And if you’re excited about … Continue reading

How To Build Your Posse To Take Over The World

November 19, 2013 / Business Resources / no comments

It’s impossible to go at the business of building your business alone. One of the biggest struggles and complaints I hear from my clients, peers and friends is that they are the only one on this creative business building life path – and there’s no one to talk to about it with.   They feel like their dreams are so different from their friends and partners, and that people don’t take them seriously when they say they work from home. We’re creatures that crave community (well, most of us anyway)  and if you’re feeling like the only creative-online-world-changing multipassionate-solopreneur you know in your ‘real’ life, here are some ways and reasons to build your posse and take the online, offline. Make Skype Dates There are some bumpin’ and thrivin’ online communities designed to foster entrepreneurial growth.  They are incredible hubs … Continue reading
